Spiffo Sightings Reported Across the County
Survivors keep seeing Spiffo standing at the edge of the light at night. Nobody has got close enough to see who's inside.
KNOX COUNTRY. Everybody has a Spiffo story now. You're out late with the mist down, you look up from a kitchen drawer, and there he is at the edge of the light. Orange fur, white cheeks, the ringed tail and that big daft grin, standing dead still and facing you.
He doesn't wave and he doesn't walk. Take a few steps toward him and he's gone, and by sunrise there's nothing left of him at all. No prints in the mud, no fur on the fence.
The suit
Spiffo's fed half of Kentucky, and somewhere along the line every one of those mascots had a teenager sweating inside the head. Somebody is still wearing one. We'd love to know who, and we'd love to know why he only ever stands where you'll see him.
The map
He's been spotted from the Louisville towers to the Rosewood fence, on farm roads and at the edge of town, always at night and always alone.
Don't follow him into the trees. Whatever is under that grin has been out there a long time, and it picked you to look at. Seen him? Shout where in global chat. We'll be up.
